Robert De Niro announces NOBU to be built in Tulum

Nobu, the world-renowned Japanese restaurant concept, has announced plans to open a new restaurant & residences in Tulum in 2026.

The new restaurant will offer guests a unique dining experience that combines Nobu’s signature Japanese cuisine with the natural beauty of the Yucatan Peninsula.

The Nobu Tulum restaurant will be designed by renowned architect David Rockwell, and will feature a modern and sophisticated interior that complements the surrounding environment. The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating, and will offer a variety of dining options, including sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, and robatayaki.

Nobu calls the planned property “a significant milestone,” marking the brand’s 30th hotel globally and the sixth hotel and fourth residential project between Nobu Hospitality and RCD Hotels.

This will be the 30th Nobu property in the world and the 2nd one to be opened in Mexico.
